Rome is developing a Program for the 15 minutes city, studying 15 different areas in the 15 municipalities.
ReGreeneration project will focus on Tufello/Vigne Nuove neighbourhood, a low-income residential area located in the city’s Municipality 3. Facing similar problems to the one faced by Barcelona’s Trinidad Nova district – such as lack of green public spaces and high-density population area – Rome aims to emulate Barcelona’s successful strategies.
By implementing the complete neighbourhood layout, the ambition is to prioritise pedestrians and cyclists, increase green spaces, and foster a sense of community in public spaces, creating a vibrant, 15-minute city district that can serve as a replicable model for urban regeneration across the city.
