The neighbourhood
Ljubljana’s ambitious project centers on revitalizing Rakova Jelša neighbourhood, a construction from the 70s which has recently been legalised. Focus is on the soft mobility link on the left bank of the Ljubljanica river connecting Park Ljubljansko Barje (Ljubljana marshes Park) with the city centre.
Proposed transformation
By creating legal moorings and facilitating river transport on river Ljubljanica and creating a new walking and cycling route on the left bank, ReGreeneration aims to enhance connectivity and leisure opportunities for residents, drawing inspiration from Paris’s innovative approaches. The project seeks to create a vibrant waterfront district, fostering social integration and ecological resilience through strategic planning and community involvement.
